Statement of Faith
For Remnant Pastors Network
The Holy Scriptures. We believe the Bible, both old and new testaments are the words of God, a revelation from God to man. We believe God's written word is the final authority of our faith and tells us the proper way we should conduct ourselves.
The One True God. We believe in the one true God, eternally existing and distinct co-equal and co-eternal persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ. we believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the son of God, who became man without ceasing to be God. We believe he was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin (Matthew 1:23) lived a sinless life and performed many miracles in order that he might reveal God and redeem sinful men and restore mankind.
Redemption of Men. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through his death on the cross and that our justification is made sure by his resurrection from the dead. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and now sits at the right hand of God.
Ordinances. We believe the ordinance of water baptism by immersion is commanded in the scriptures. all who repent and believe in Christ should be water baptized, which is declaring to the world that they have made Jesus Lord of their life and they are choosing to follow him. we also believe in communion known as the Lord's supper, it's also something we are should do on a regular basis. the elements of bread representing the body of Christ, and the fruit of the vine representing the blood of Jesus are symbols of the covenant Jesus made for us.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We believe all believers are entitled to and should expect and receive, the baptism of the Holy Spirit. with this baptism comes an endowment of power, for life and service, as well as the endowment of the gifts of the Spirit. We believe the experience is separate from the experience of the new birth. With this baptism come such experiences as an overflowing fullness of the Spirit, a deepened reverence for God, and intensified consecration to God and his work, and a more active love for Jesus, His word and for the lost and the acceptance of a heavenly prayer language also known as speaking in other tongues.
Divine Healing. We believe divine healing as an integral part of the gospel. We believe deliverance from sickness is provided in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers to both give and to receive in faith, by the laying on of hands, in The Name of Jesus.
Mission of the Church. we believe the Remnant Church is the ecclesia, a called out group that governs. The church is to be the Organism that is carrying out the will of God on the earth by following his commands and his will, so that his will is accomplished on the earth as it is accomplished in heaven. We believe Jesus has given gifts to the church known as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. These gifts are given to equip the Saints to go forth and do the work of the ministry, which is to win the lost, make disciples, live their life for God and encourage one another in the faith.
